K9 Kinship Ltd. is based out of the Greater Vancouver region of British Columbia and is owned and operated by Joan Klucha. Joan has been training dogs in tracking and obedience for over 14 years. She worked with the VPD dog squad for 7 years.

Joan is currently loved and owned by Zumi a Black German Shepherd, and Piper a German Shorthaired Pointer...and yes she is a fan of german engineering. Her history and love of dogs spans her lifetime.

She has been writing the column Canine Connection for the North Shore News since 1998. She established Sierra K9 training in 1995 and changed the name to K9 Kinship Inc. in 2002.

Trainer Maureen Fielding has recently joined the K9 Kinship Team. She has many years of experience training her own dogs and is versed in many styles of training through regularily attending seminars by Dr. Ian Dunbar and local worshops to expand her knowledge and skills.

Maureen brings this knowledge to K9 Kinship and has been a valuable asset. She is now the trainer for our Puppy Kinship classes and all levels of tracking classes as well as leading the Tracking Club on Sunday mornings.

Maureen is loved and owned by a German Shepherd-Orrin and a GSDx -Griffin

Trainer Roz Wei has recently joined the K9 Kinship Team. Roz was first introduced to K9 Kinship as a student with his then puppy 'Niko' and progressed from puppy through advanced classes.

Roz has been following the K9 Kinship training princicples and regime since 2005 and has assisted in many puppy, basic and advanced classes as an apprentice with Joan during that time. He now teaches his own puppy and basic classes from a dog boutique in Coquitlam called the Urban Barkery.

Roz has a degree in psychology that he finds very useful in training dogs and their people, since a great deal of training is based in the principals of classical and operant conditioning.

He continually upgrades his skills, training and behavioural knowledge by attending regular seminars by Dr. Patricia McConnelland Dr. Ian Dunbar.

Roz is currently loved and 'owned' by his German Pinscher-Niko and his English Staffordshire Terrier-Eva.
